Organ building holds a unique place in the world of instrument making, combining handcrafted artistry with computerized technology to produce the largest and most complex of all musical instruments. Tours of the Reuter facility present an overview of all aspects of pipe organ construction – engineering, woodworking, pipe making, voicing and assembly.
Tours are generally about an hour in length and can be scheduled on weekdays beginning as early as 8:00 AM and concluding by 3:30 PM. Groups are limited to a maximum of 20 individuals. There are no specific age requirements (families often include children who are middle school age and older), and young musicians are particularly welcome! The facility is barrier-free.
